Command Summary for Majordomo

The list name scubaclub-l is an example. Replace with the name of any other list.
subscribe scubaclub-l end	Subscribe yourself to the list named.
unsubscribe scubaclub-l end	Unsubscribe yourself from the list named.
which end	Find out which lists you are on. It takes at least 10 minutes before you will get a return via email since 3000 lists must be searched.
who scubaclub-l end	Find out who is on the list named. Privacy restrictions may apply, depending on the type of list.
info scubaclub-l end	Retrieve information about the list named.
lists end	Show the public lists served by the MTU list server.
help end	Retrieve a help message.
end	Stop processing commands (useful if your mailer adds a signature).

Note: multiple commands can be processed provided each occurs on a separate line. In that case, use "end" line only after the last command.

Extra tips for list owners

To add and delete addresses, you will use the list password with the approve command. This is best explained with some examples. Suppose you own the scubaclub-l email list and the list password is "airtank". You wish to remove one old address and subscribe three new ones. You will send lines like this to majordomo@mtu.edu for processing:

approve airtank unsubscribe scubaclub-l gfpatter@mtu.edu
approve airtank subscribe scubaclub-l cpheming@mtu.edu
approve airtank subscribe scubaclub-l twmartin@mtu.edu
