Michigan Technological University offers email lists for classes and organizations. MTU currently uses the Majordomo list management software. To apply for a new email list: Request New List

Subscribe to an existing list

To subscribe to a list, send an email message to "majordomo@mtu.edu". Leave the subject blank. Suppose the list you wish to subscribe to is called "scubaclub-l". In the body of the message, put these lines:

subscribe scubaclub-l
end

Unsubscribe from a list

To unsubscribe from a list, send an email message to "majordomo@mtu.edu". Leave the subject blank. In the body of the message, put these lines:

unsubscribe scubaclub-l
end

If all goes well, you will receive a notification message saying your request has succeeded. For some lists, this will come within minutes. For some lists, the approval of the list owner is needed. You will not get any response to your request until he or she takes action.
